KARADAVI
Every forest begins somewhere.
కారడవి
forest
A word remembered from a Telugu textbook. KARADAVI existed as a word long before it existed as a product.
One completely random day, I was working around my other projects, searching for domains and thinking about what could become something real.
And suddenly, something from my school days came back into my head:
A lesson, a monkey, and a website written in Telugu
కారడవి
www.కారడవి.కామ్
I remembered seeing that name in my Telugu textbook years ago — కారడవి, read in English as Karadavi, meaning a dense, wild forest.
Then the next thought hit me: is KARADAVI.COM actually a real domain? Who owns it now? What are they doing with it?
Wait... is KARADAVI.COM actually a real domain?
Your search — karadavi.com — did not match any documents.
I couldn't find the real karadavi.com I expected to find. That made me even more curious. I went to a domain registrar and typed:
karadavi.com
Available
I genuinely couldn't believe it. A .com name I remembered from a school textbook — a name presented to students as www.కారడవి.కామ్ — was still available in this era of the internet.
I didn't have a startup plan for it. I didn't know what I was going to build.
I just knew one thing: I wanted that domain.
I started searching for the cheapest registration offer I could find. Eventually I found Spaceship offering it for roughly five dollars, and I grabbed it.
Just like that, karadavi.com became mine.
And honestly, I was ridiculously happy about it. Not because I had bought another domain. This one felt different. It had been sitting somewhere in my memory since school. I had seen www.కారడవి.కామ్ on a printed page before I ever imagined that one day I would be building internet products myself.
But I had absolutely no idea what to build
I kept throwing ideas at the name. They worked technically. But none of them felt like KARADAVI. The destination wasn't known yet.
Stories from the Wild
A storytelling platform around the literal forest — dark, cinematic, mysterious.
Enter the Digital Jungle
The internet itself became the jungle — growth, creators, AI, money, online survival.
Telugu First
A Telugu-first digital ecosystem — lessons, digital skills, content, community. Modern, internet-native, premium — never a boring education website.
Rediscover. Learn. Explore.
So I went backwards.
Instead of asking, "What business can I put on this domain?", I started thinking about why this name had stayed in my head for so many years.
That brought me back to the textbook.
The KARADAVI that existed before mine
I went back and looked into the actual school lesson. Telangana SCERT's Class 7 Telugu First Language material includes an Upavachakam lesson titled:
కారడవి
www.కారడవి.కామ్
In the story, Bihari, a monkey living in a dense forest, learns about computers and creates a website called www.కారడవి.కామ్ — a way to organize and share information about the forest and make that knowledge useful to everyone in it.
What are the chances?
I randomly remembered the name. I wondered whether anybody owned it. I searched. It was available. I bought it for around five dollars.
Then I rediscovered what the story was actually about.
కారడవి — KARADAVI — is a dense forest.
The internet is already a forest.
The forest was the architecture.
Then it finally clicked
The internet might be the biggest forest humanity has ever created. Billions of pages. People. Companies. Technologies. Discoveries. History. Science. Places. Ideas. Cultures. Events. One thing connecting to another, then another, then another.
You can enter looking for one simple answer and, five links later, find yourself somewhere completely different. It reminded me of something as enormous and interconnected as the Amazon rainforest.
The internet does not have an information shortage. It has a navigation and understanding problem.
The hard part is understanding where you are, what something means, how it connects to everything around it, and which trail to follow next.
And suddenly I knew what this domain should become.
KARADAVI should be a Knowledge Forest.
You don't just read the forest. You walk it.
Every relationship is a trail. One question becomes a path — and the path keeps going.
Knowledge should have provenance
In this forest, nothing floats free. Claims carry evidence. Evidence carries sources.
This changed KARADAVI from "AI generates knowledge" to "AI helps process sourced knowledge."
AI enters the forest — carefully
AI is infrastructure, not authority. It researches, extracts, structures and drafts. It never decides what becomes public.
- Research
- Extraction
- Evidence
- Draft
- Human review
- Approval
- Publicationlive
Knowledge is automatic. Writing is intentional. Publishing is human.
KARADAVI
A Knowledge Forest
An evidence-aware knowledge system for understanding the people, companies, technologies, ideas, places, events, and forces that shape our world — and the connections between them.
A random day.
A school memory.
One curious search.
One available .com.
About five dollars.
What if I make KARADAVI real?
I did.
Now we build the forest.
With gratitude
KARADAVI exists today as a different project, but we owe a special piece of its story to the people who imagined www.కారడవి.కామ్ long before this domain became ours.
The original lesson imagined technology helping a forest organize and share its information. Years later, that idea helped us see the internet itself as a forest: enormous, interconnected and full of trails waiting to be understood.
To the original author, educators and everyone involved in bringing this story into a Telugu classroom: thank you. A small idea printed in a schoolbook stayed with one student much longer than anyone could have expected.
